[WIP] Alternatives to gasoline & diesel motor-vehicles

Nowadays living without a car / motor vehicle is proved to be difficult in many cities outside the big, capital ones. This makes people buy and own motor vehicles (on average, each US household owns 1.88 motor-vehicles and only 9% of them don't have any). Personal motor-vehicles, together with aviation and public transportation, make up 14% of annual GHG emissions globally (the 4th largest sector just behind energy production, AFOLU (agriculture, forestry and other land use) and industry).

So, if you really need to buy (or rent) a motor-vehicle, you might be thinking on avoiding fossil-fuel powered ones and choose a greener alternative. As of now, the most popular of them would be:

• Electric vehicles (batteries)

• Electric vehicles (hydrogen fuel cells)

• Natural Gas vehicles

• Other alternative-fuels vehicles (i.e. ethanol, propane, bio-diesel, methanol)
